Endobronchial Biopsy (EB)

FEW WORDS ABOUT PROCEDURE

Only diagnostic method for obtaining tissue from the endobronchial tumours in cases of suspected lung cancer. Without histo-morphological verification it is impossible to conduct chemotherapy treatment to patients with lung cancer. Commonly Endobronchial biopsy performed under the local anesthesia using biopsy forceps, brushes, fine needles for transbronchial fine needle aspiration (TFNA). It is non-invasive, brief, but very informative procedure that verifies the type of cancer and allows the oncologist to carry out the optimal treatment of chemotherapy.
